Stress Relief

Stress is defined as a non specific reaction of the body that takes place in any condition and as a result, has symptoms such as, increase of the blood pressure, hormones’ release, fast breathing, muscles’ tightening, sweating and increased heart activity.
Stress is not always necessarily a negative thing. A partial stress it moves us and keeps us alert, while too little stress could create problems. Nevertheless, excessive stress can trigger problems in our mental and physical health, especially when is incurred for a long period of time.

Any experience that can give energy or vitality to a person is a stress relief. Stress can be mental, physical or emotional.

Intensity (psychology): a mental or emotional state of fatigue or anxiety, “He suffered from fatigue and emotional tension”, “Stress is a vasculature”.

Physically: A power that creates pressure to the physical body. “The severity of stress is expressed by force units divided into area units.” The mental or physical tension resulting from physical (body), emotional or chemical causes.

What can be considered as a “stress relief”?

Anything that can relief the common stress, in every day basis, like relaxation can definitely help and be considered as a stress relief. Nevertheless, Hans Seyle, a Hungarian medical scientist, was the first person that used the word “stress” connecting it with the picture of an excellent physical condition of health. His theory supports that, when the body reacts to stress, it creates an alarm response.

This means that your body is in good physical condition and reacts according to each stressor, at best right and effective, in ways that relieve it.

Continuous stress, though, can lead to an “adaptation” state, whereas we learn how to compromise or to tolerate the symptoms of stress, by adapting to them.
This may, more positively, lead to the creation of greater resistance, to frustration and movement back to the alert state, which relieves stress or, negatively, the reaction with a settled adaptation that (temporarily) increases stress pain, but is finally becoming a new test standard. νέο πρότυπο ελέγχου.

If stress continues for even more, an “exhaustion” state is caused, which can cause a significant impairment of the system. This alarm / adaptation / exhaustion model fits into all forms of stress, physical, mental, emotional. Obviously, reducing stress is the key to prosperity. Relaxation helps, but how can we know where stress can be hidden in physical, mental or emotional adaptation and exhaustion?

With Quantum Biofeedback and its devices EDUCTOR/INDIGO, we can painlessly and non-invasivelly see the reactions in common stressors and start to compose a picture.

Most of the people find that Quantum Biofeedback experience is relaxing, soothing and beneficial. Some of Biofeedback’s consequences might include the following possibilities (whereas can be many more as well):
